There is freedom in expression.
Some works of art are grounded in reality, depicting a scene the way we would see it from our own point of view. In contrast, other works feature dramatic size contrasts or are composed like a riddle.
There are impossibilities in reality, but in an illustration, nothing is impossible.
Characters are brought to life and depicted moving freely across the entire composition.
It’s through this unconventional illustration style that Eiichiro Oda sparks emotion in the viewer.
Our aim is to allow our customers to experience the vibrant and rich blue colors of the sea and sky, lifelike characters rendered with exquisite texture and softness, and details executed with remarkable precision.
A maximum of 14 works from each edition are to be sold by lottery.
*They are also scheduled to be sold at Shueisha Manga Art Heritage Tokyo Gallery (Azabudai Hills).
Occasionally violent, occasionally soft. The Straw Hat Pirates display a variety of expressions when finding themselves among different characters.
The collection is made up of a set of two types of prints, one in original size (normally B4) as drawn by the artist, and another one enlarged to A2–A1 size. The precision that went into the original-sized prints is clearly visible. The larger blown-up prints help demonstrate the impact that the work exudes and enables one to notice details that only become apparent when the artwork is enlarged.
